I made the Joystar banner and also the Peace, Hope and Hark banners for my church this past Advent season. They were fun to work on and a bit of a challenge. The worst was fusing the Steam-a-Seam to the bias (it also took the longest) but I enjoyed the projects. When I received the fabric kit I actually separated the colors in order and put them into individually numbered zip lock bags. Then, after numbering my pattern pieces per the instructions, I then used the numbers from the bags to indicate on each pattern piece what color I wanted to use where. I made all 4 banners at once and was able to keep everything in order! It took me about a month working on and off. I called Kandi for some advice about bias and when I found out I could order the fabric from her I was ecstatic, I tried to find them on my own and came no where near the colors she sent me.
And, oh yes, there were many, many compliments on the finished banners. Thanks Kandi, your pattern ideas are amazing.
